Dubai, UAE: The world launch of a fuel safety device that prevents skimming, spillage and siphoning will be at the forefront of new innovations introduced at the Middle East’s premier trade event for the automotive aftermarket next week.
The all-new TankSafe ‘Impregnable HF’ Fuel Security Device, will be revealed for the first time at Automechanika Dubai, taking place from 3-5 June at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Developed by the award winning UK company TISS, the new device potentially saves commercial vehicle fleet managers thousands of dollars on monthly expenses, and is the latest in a line of 60 TankSafe models bought to the automotive aftermarket by TISS.
The Blackpool-based manufacturer of fuel security devices chose Automechanika Dubai to launch their latest model due to the exhibition’s wide regional footprint.
“We picked Automechanika Dubai for our global launch as it enables us to meet with a number of different representatives from a wide variety of countries, rather than having to visit each country individually,“ said Mathew Rose, Commercial Director of TISS.
“The event is a gateway into India and South East Asia and also enables us to meet with potential partners from all parts of Africa.“
Having recently won the Queen’s Award for International Trade, considered the UK’s leading business award, TISS has met success with their market-leading range of TankSafe Fuel Security Devices, which is spearheaded by the TankSafe ‘Impregnable’ Fuel Security and Safety Device - the only fuel security solution that completely prevents any siphoning, skimming and overfilling.
The current range of the TankSafe devices have developed from the humble beginnings of an early prototype based on a baked beans tin with holes drilled into the bottom. Evolving progressively from this basic concept, the device is now patented in 39 countries globally and is available in 63 product lines able to be fitted in all types of vehicles, including trucks, light commercial vehicles, commercial and personal vehicles.
Added Rose: “Following on from a highly successful show at Automechanika Dubai 2011, with the additional gravitas of being awarded the Queens Award for International Trade this year, TISS will once again be looking to meet and recruit new distributor partners for their already established global distribution network.
“We foresee the Queens Award as the catalyst for the next stage of our ambitious expansion plans over the next three years in which we intend to enter into 16 new major territories.“
Another exhibitor launching its latest products at Automechanika Dubai include American chemicals manufacturer Chemplex Automotive Group, which will launch its new Dyno-tab Pure Concentrate liquid line for commercial vehicle engines.
Now in its 12th edition, Automechanika Dubai has grown by over 20 per cent year-on-year, giving more than 1,600 exhibitors from 59 countries instant access to the fast-growing automotive aftermarkets in Middle East, Central and East Africa.
Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt, said: “Automechanika Dubai gives our exhibitors unmatched access to interact and network with buyers coming in from across the Middle East, Central and South Asia as well as Africa.
“It is no surprise therefore that an increasing number of exhibitors choose the exhibition as their preferred launch vehicle into a fast-growing market.“
Automechanika Dubai covers a wide spectrum of products, from automotive parts, systems, bodywork & paintwork, car washing, tyres & batteries, to workshop and filling-station equipment, IT products and services, accessories and tuning.
The three-day event also returns with the Automechanika Academy, taking place from 4-5 June, featuring seminars, workshops and presentations by prominent industry figures addressing key concerns, developments and trends affecting the automotive aftermarket.
Some of the highlights of the Academy include a Dubai Auto Parts Trade Statistics Update from the Dubai Customs, Strategy & Corporate Excellence Department; a presentation about the current trends in used car values across the region by Autodata Middle East; and the latest sustainable car fleet guidelines by Fleet Compare.
