Tips on how to Manage Asthma Attacks

As World Asthma Day falls on the 6th of May, below are some tips on how to manage your Asthma during summer heat and how Air Purifiers can reduce the factors that trigger the asthma attacks

• Look after your inhaler
Inhalers work best below 25°C, so look after them in the hot weather – some are OK up 30°C, but to be safe keep them below 25°C. Avoid keeping your inhaler out under the sun or under the windowsill – instead, keep it in your pocket or in the shade.
• Be aware of pollen
Remember pollen sticks and is still there at night. If pollen makes your asthma worse, think about not drying your clothes outdoors where the pollen count is high, as it may be sticking to them. Also sleeping with the windows open in summer, allows pollen to come indoors.
• Dust mites in the humidity
The high humidity is just what dust mites need to breed, so there are more of them to watch out for in summer.
• Stick to your medication routine
No matter what time of year, sticking to your normal medication routine is important. So even if you’re rushing o¬ to the beach, take your inhaler along.
