Ladies Invited to Test Out the Gym Facilities at Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel
Last Update: Monday, May 5, 2014 : 09:50 (+4GMT)
On Sunday, April 30th, ladies of Abu Dhabi are invited to the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel to try out the equipment and services of the Ladies Gym at a class launch in Al Maqta Sports Hall.
In addition to experimenting with a Zumba dance class, participants can test out the Les Mills Body Pump barbell routines that aim to sculpt and tone the entire body – and also ride a few kilometres with the Les Mills RPM™, an indoor cycling workout ridden to the rhythm of powerful music.
Aerobic routines are also on the menu, plus yoga exercises to wind down and a dose of healthy refreshment to complete the workout.
Two sessions will be conducted, between 4:30 – 7:30 pm, and attendance is free for Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel members, while non-members will be charged AED130, inclusive of service charge and tourism free – booking is not essential but limited equipment will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to Mr Salah Salem Al Selumi Al Zaabi , Director of Sport Management for Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel, the open day will enable Abu Dhabi female residents to see how gym and health regimes have become more about fun and fitness and less about regimented exercise.
“Music is key to many of these routines, helping participants move along with the beat and enjoy the experience,” he said. “We know the ladies who come along on April 30th will be hooked on the gym as something that is both good for them but also a lively social interaction.”
