Zippo Encore Arabia to hold Gig at Mo*Vida to crown winners

Winners will be announced on 14th May

Judges Nikotin, Rouba and Fatiniza to perform at Mo*Vida gig

Dubai 24th April 2014: Zippo Encore Arabia, the exciting search for unsigned musical talent in the UAE, is drawing to a close as the entry period closes on Wednesday the 30th of April. 

Unsigned artists in the UAE have been submitting original music on www.zippoencorearabia.com and now the winners will have the chance to take centre stage and shine in front of an audience of the UAE’s top music and media influencers at Mo*Vida Dubai on Wednesday 14th May. 

The prestigious panel of six judges comprising David Warfel, Global Marketing Director of Zippo; Niktoin, the UAE rock band who won last year’s Battle of the Bands; Colombian music sensation Fatiniza; Lebanese soul singer Rouba; Radio One DJ Dany Neville and local music producer Elvis Garagic of Soundstruck Studios will be reviewing the entries from Wednesday 30th April.   

The Top Ten finalists will be announced on Facebook, then the  panel of judges will choose two winners, one from the five English finalists and one from the five Arabic finalists. The two winners will be announced at the VIP gig held at Mo*Vida Dubai which will be attended by the most influential members of the media and the music industry, along with the judges and finalists.  The winning acts will perform live and have their performance filmed and broadcast on the Zippo Facebook page and YouTube channels. 

The event at Mo*Vida will also include performances by judges Nikotin, Fatiniza and Rouba.

The event is strictly invite only, however  a number of lucky fans will get the chance to win tickets to the VIP gig where they will get to see everyone perform.  All they have to do is send an email to zea@devries-slam.com
