April 22, 2014: Emirates Post Group is participating in Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival at Expo Centre Sharjah through a stand that is introducing children to the world of stamps and philately.
The Emirates Post Group stand was visited by a number of visitors who showed keen interest in the stamps displayed and asked questions about the history of stamps and the hobby of stamp collecting.
Mr. Ibrahim bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group, said: “The Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival is a major event dedicated to encouraging children to develop the habit of reading. Emirates Post Group is delighted to participant in this event as an expression of our commitment for social causes, because we believe a child’s mind is shaped to a large extent by what he or she reads in their young days.”
The 6th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival features a diverse range of 1,694 events, including the Kids Programme, the Cultural Programme, the Cookery Corner, the Cultural Café and the Kids Café, in addition to the 1001 Inventions Exhibition, and the Sharjah Exhibition for Children’s Book Illustrations. The festival ends on Friday, 25th April.
