Dubai, UAE – April 13, 2014— Nabbesh--the Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) first regional online marketplace where businesses find and hire freelance professionals on demand has recently launched a new interface and features enhancing the way businesses and freelancers complete project-based work empowering a market of nearly 340 million people towards Work 3.0.
Today, businesses need a fast way to hire, manage and pay talent on a project basis; giving them the flexibility to hire who they need when they need them while saving money. At the same time, the rise of technology-based solutions and the region’s growth of freelance professionals has ushered in a desire by more professionals to work independently. Nabbesh is at the forefront of this trend in offering value to businesses seeking overhead savings, efficiency in hiring, and access to a larger talent pool; and for independent workers seeking a flexible alternative to the traditional 9-5 labour market.
New or enhanced features include:
Search and Matching Made Simple: Giving businesses the ability to find highly-qualified freelance professionals across the Middle East and North Africa, immediately evaluate their work, and hire almost instantly.
Profile Anonymity: Allowing businesses to post and search for candidates immediately, enabling their personal and business identities to remain private, while freelancers are hired based on their skills and portfolios.
Talent Management Solutions: Connecting employers immediately to freelancers through a simple workflow form which allows for efficient communications, applicant shortlisting, hiring, file sharing and improved project management.
Complete Payment Solution: Providing simple and secure third party and online payment systems powered by online payment gateway PayFort that provides a local solution, allowing employers to pay securely online, and freelancers to receive payments through bank transfers and money transfer services.
Rating System: An online dual rating system that allows both employers and freelancers to rate the quality of work and project experiences. This feature facilitates greater quality assurance and merit-based opportunities contingent on quality of work in a job market previously dominated by ‘wasta’ - a system based on connections.
"This is just the beginning for Nabbesh as we shape the future of work --Work 3.0-- in the Middle East & North Africa. Our platform is simple, user friendly, social, and most importantly a safe place for cross-border freelance transactions,” said Loulou Khazen Baz, CEO of Nabbesh.
“75% of Nabbesh’s users are under the age of 35, and this demographic is looking online for work opportunities.” Youth, who grew up online, account for one third of the population of nearly 340 million in the MENA region.
“We’re excited to introduce these new features and to efficiently enable businesses to grow while increasing prosperity throughout the Middle East. Everything we do at Nabbesh is not only designed to build a business but is designed to fuel the talent of this region. We are doing everything possible to protect our freelancers from the challenges of online work, and we will continue to enhance Nabbesh to facilitate commerce at the speed of the 21st century.”
