Universal Music MENA Welcomes a new local talent to its Roster Satar Saad the Title Winner of The Voice Arabia Season 2 wins a recording deal with Universal Music MENA

Saturday April 5, 2014, Dubai: Universal Music MENA celebrates another exciting addition to its local roster, welcoming an exceptional voice from Iraq “Satar Saad” who was crowned as the winner for the second season of The Voice of Arabia after competing with three other contestants in the finale on March 29th . Satar won a recording deal with Universal Music MENA as a prize for his triumph.
The 20 year old charismatic talent Satar Saad, the youngest of all contestants this season, worked in his family business; however, had all his passion dedicated to music, and now he gets to have his moment under the spotlights of fame.
Satar has a rich and solid voice, which excels in singing the mawal, and Iraqi folklore. He was praised by the judges and many music professionals for his ability to perform the hardest melodies, which are not an easy call for long established artists on the scene.
Patrick Boulos, Managing Director of Universal Music MENA, said, “Satar is a unique potential and we are excited to have a valuable talent from Iraq joining our roster; we envision a brilliant musical career for Satar, and we have promising arrangements for him in terms of recording amongst other plans which are to be announced soon.”
After the success of the first season, Universal Music MENA is partnering with Ugaret Group to promote the winner and his first single, which will be released around the end of April 2014, and to produce the first album due this year, in addition to organizing live shows across the region and more.
General Manager of Ugaret Group, Mr. Youssef Dandash declared that work is in process to release the debut single of Satar end of April across all regional media.
Universal Music MENA is dedicating intensive sessions to prepare the launch of this upcoming star in collaboration with the best lyricists and composers on the local scene
