Power of Trying New Things through MAGGI Diaries
April 1, 2014: MAGGI Diaries, a two-month series of webisodes will take viewers on the biggest culinary journey across the Gulf, North Africa and Levant as they explore and recreate some of the region’s favorite dishes. MAGGI Diaries is set to launch on Youtube.com/MaggiArabia on April 13th, 2014.
Every MAGGI Diaries webisode will feature new exciting discoveries, recipes, fresh ideas for healthier food, table setting and entertaining guests, including nutritional tips. The webisodes will be uploaded every two weeks and will run until mid-June.
“MAGGI Diaries is about encouraging women to reconnect with the dishes, flavors and tastes of the region, and most importantly empowering them to try something new and discover how, through food, they are able to make a difference in their lives and the lives of the people around them,” said Jessy Abdulnour, Senior Brand Manager at MAGGI. “With MAGGI, our four ambassadors discover hidden and forgotten recipes, experience the richness of local cuisines and reinvent traditional dishes with a modern twist.”
Produced by the award winning Nayla Al Khaya, the first female film producer in Dubai, MAGGI Diaries stars four of the Middle East’s passionate food lovers, Sumayya Makki, Dalia Dogmoch, Hatun Madani and Dima Sharif.
MAGGI Diaries follows the ambassadors across the UAE, Oman, Morocco and Jordan as they discover the inspiring culinary experiences in each of the countries in a fascinating tour that reflects the cultural diversity of the region through food.
MAGGI Diaries will inspire women across the Middle East through a range of interactive elements that draws on the ambassadors’ unique personalities with a special focus on the power of trying new things in their lives and the lives of their families.
Syrian food author Dalia Dogmoch will showcase her culinary nomad style. The author of the number one bestseller cook book “Food, Love and Life from Dalia's Kitchen” and founder of Kitsch Bakery & Café, is renowned for her unique ability to fuse Eastern and Western cultures to create delicious dishes.
Emirati socialite, an excelling mom and wife, Sumayya Makki is a stellar social currency. She is a trendsetter for her family and friends and her passion for impressing and delighting her guests makes each gathering a new adventure.
Hatun Madani, among the first Saudi women to climb mount Everest, she has a power to overcome life’s challenges with a character. Her passion is cooking traditional dishes with a healthy twist and instilling good eating habits in her children.
Jordanian food artisan, Dima Sharif is the founder of www.dimasharif.com, an award winning blog hat explains cultures through food. She focuses on “The Method” and the journey to creating exquisite dishes, rather than just following recipes.
Nayla is the founder of the film and television production company, D-Seven Motion Pictures, and winner of the Best Script Award in the Gulf International Film Festival for her script MALAL, which went on to win first place in the Muhr Emirati category at the Dubai International Film Festival.
