Porsche Centre Dubai hosts amateur golf tournament at Emirates Golf Club
Dubai. More than 100 passionate Dubai golfers will descend upon the UAE’s oldest and most famous golf course this month, with five spots at the 2014 Porsche Golf Cup World Final in Majorca, Spain, up for grabs for top-scoring Porsche owners.
Porsche Centre Dubai and Emirates Golf Club will host the Porsche Golf Cup Dubai competition, taking place on Monday 24 March, and contested among three men’s and two ladies’ amateur categories.
The top five scoring Porsche owners from each of the five categories will be awarded with a trip to the Mediterranean island for the Porsche Golf Cup World Final, taking place in from 6-9 May 2014.
They will be joined by hundreds of finalists from other qualifying tournaments organised by Porsche Centres around the world. The Porsche Golf Cup is a global tournament connecting the famous German high performance sports car’s brand with an international sport that is hugely popular among its loyal customers.
“The Porsche Golf Cup Dubai demonstrates our commitment to continuously support the local sporting culture and develop strong links with a game highly popular among our customers,” said Vijay Rao, General Manager of Porsche Centre Dubai, the sole distributor for Porsche in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
“We are dedicated to providing Porsche enthusiasts with unique and unforgettable experiences, whether on the road or, in the case of the Porsche Golf Cup Dubai, on the lush fairways and large greens of the Emirates Golf Club. This is just one of many exclusive programmes designed by Porsche to reward customer loyalty in a friendly environment that reflects the brands enduring competitive spirit.”
The Porsche Golf Cup Dubai is the latest collaboration between Porsche Centre Dubai and the 26-year old Emirates Golf Club, since the two entered a strategic partnership earlier this year to strengthen Porsche’s commitment to the sport of golf.
