Concorde-Corodex Group reveals successful participation at Drainage & Sewerage Middle East 2014

18 March 2014 - The Concorde – Corodex Group (CCG), one of the Middle East region’s pioneering providers of fire protection, water & waste treatment and environmental services and a part of the M.H. Al Mana Group of Companies, revealed its successful participation at Drainage & Sewerage Middle East, which was held from March 16 to March 18, 2014 at the W Doha Hotel in Qatar. The event gathered regional experts and professionals to discuss sustainable development of drainage and sewerage infrastructure as well as new developments in wastewater treatment.
CCG senior executives Sherif Radwan and Vishal Sharma participated as speakers during the dynamic two-day forum. Radwan, who is a Project Development Officer for International Gulf Trading Company – Corodex Industries (IGTC - Corodex), CCG’s representative company in Qatar, talked about ‘Alternative wastewater solutions and the use of vacuum sewerage systems in the GCC.’ Meanwhile, Sharma, who is a Business Development Officer for IGTC – Corodex, gave a talk on the topic, ‘Odor treatment solutions for waste water pumping and lifting station and STP.’
“The significant role that both drainage and sewerage systems play in the rapid infrastructure development of the Middle East region took centre stage at Drainage & Sewerage Middle East, a strategic forum where some of the best experts and professionals discussed the challenges of the industry,” said Mahmood Awad, Managing Director, CCG. “Our presence at the exciting two-day forum allowed us the opportunity to leverage our key services and products across the participants coming from various parts of the region. In addition, our top executives Sherif Radwan and Vishal Sharma were able to share their knowledge and expertise through the talks that they were invited to give.”
Drainage & Sewerage Middle East featured sessions on key subjects like flood planning and prevention, waste water treatment, promoting sustainable treatment and reuse of wastewater, designing effective and sustainable drainage infrastructure, the effects of scum on sewer flows and management and treatment of sludge and grit. The forum also highlighted regional case studies from sector leaders such as AECOM Saudi Arabia, Qatar University and the Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi, to name a few. The content and structure of the forum is designed to promote discussions and offer unique learning opportunities from the people currently engaged in these projects.
