The 15th UAE IIA Annual Regional Audit Conference, a Resounding Success 650 internal auditors attended the event UAE IIA bids International Audit Conference 2018

Dubai, UAE (March 18, 2014): Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of DMI, the Internal Audit Association (UAE IAA) held recently its 15th annual conference successfully at InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City.

The 15th Annual Regional Audit Conference is considered the premiere internal audit event in the Middle East and the largest “smart” conference covering many strategic important themes covering Risk management, innovation, fraud, technology. Compliance and emerging issues, future industry trend and the event had a fully dedicated Arabic track. The UAE IAA also announced the launch of a new sub-groups of construction, hospitality, banking, information technology and governance & risk. Furthermore, the conference that boasted 650 internal auditors, announced the translation of COSO framework into Arabic and is the largest fully electronic conference related to audit.

“The profession of internal audit facilitates effective governance and achievement of the organization’s business objectives and these conferences increase the awareness of the profession in the UAE and the region. One of the objectives is to increase the number of local internal auditors, including fresh graduates”, says the Chairman of UAE IAA, Abdulqader Obaid Ali at a recent press conference announcing the two events.
 
The whole activity aims in providing assistance and advice to establishments, companies and other entities with all that is relevant in improving Internal Audit departments,  encouraging the free exchange of knowledge, information and skills within the business sector; besides organising training courses, seminars, conferences and studies relating to Internal Audit and creating an atmosphere suitable for networking and communication among workers in this field.
