Global Village's Adrenaline Fuelled Rides

Dubai, UAE, 18  March 2014: When it comes to one of the most rewarding days out for thrill seekers across the region there is simply nowhere better than Global Village. The UAE’s number one family entertainment destination also plays home to the most exhilarating and adrenaline pumping rides in the Middle East. Fantasy Island will be open at Global Village all through the extension until the 12th April.
With Mellors Group bringing over 100 years of experience in fairground maintenance, upkeep, and health and safety, Fantasy Island funfair is a whole new experience for thrill seeking daredevils.

Sky Swing
The Mellors Group has brought the unique and mesmerizing Sky Swing to Global Village. This ride offers spectacular views of Global Village’s pavilions and the amazing musical water fountain, all while being suspended 60 meters in the air.

2Xtreme
Another ride that will strike a sense of anticipation into the hearts of even the most battle hardened funfair ride enthusiasts is 2Xtreme – a disorientating 8-seater ride that will certainly give each individual a sense of being invincible once they have conquered it. This mechanical monster, capable of making grown men shake in their boots, swings the rider around at speeds of up to 65mph at a maximum height of nearly 40 metres.

Cyclone
A funfair would be no fun if it did not have a rollercoaster for the daredevils to test themselves on, and the Cyclone is exactly the place for people to do just that. This rollercoaster sends you hurtling around corners, dipping down steep hills; all while being rotated in the cart you are in. With the cart constantly spinning round and around while moving extremely fast, this ride offers a fresh experience to even the most hardened rollercoaster lover.
All Visitors will be able to find something to ride at Fantasy Island, whether they are avid riders of rollercoasters around the world, or just looking for something new to experience. Global Village has brought a new, fresh and exciting concept to Dubai with Fantasy Island’s unique, Cooney Island design; a first for the Middle East. With over 50 funfair rides to choose from, visitors of all ages will be able to find a ride to get their fill of thrills.
