-The Region’s Only Pure Afro Beats Club Night Moves To A New Venue-
13th March 2014 - Dubai, UAE - Have you heard of the phrase “The Rhythm of Life? AFRO BEATS DXB Is Back! Introduced in 2012 to offer niche party nights, AFRO BEATS DXB is arguable one of the most successful nights in the party scene. Since the soft launch, titled ‘Femme Fatales’, AFRO BEATS DXB has grown to include weekly parties and live concerts featuring the likes of afro urban superstars, Jesse Jagz & Flavour. AFRO BEATS DXB ‘Azonto Nights: The Launch’ will feature BRISB of Africa’s most successful group L.O.S who will be debuting the video to his brand new hit singles Sister In The Lord / Balling For Two also featuring fellow L.O.S Boy Tomi Thomas & talented rapper 2Slick. AFRO BEATS DXB ‘Azonto Nights: The Launch’ will be held at 2LIV Night Club, Sofitel The Palm, the hottest new nightclub in Dubai, on Wednesday, 19th March 2014. 2LIV will be hosting the official launch of the event.
"We introduced AFRO BEATS DXB out of necessity, we never had a platform to go to listen, dance and party to this genre of music. Usually, DJs will pick the most popular afro beats and play once or twice. Although the reaction is always instantaneous, it’s not enough to satisfy the revelers craving for more. Local DJs do not have an understanding of this music genre and they lack the knowledge and culture that goes with this music. The growing popularity of Afro beats is clear and we wanted to cater to that demand” said Ade, VP, Co-Sign.
Afro BEATS caters to diverse club goers and returns following the success of the previous events held to introduce such nights. Distribution of FREE mixtapes of Afro beats support this type of events as it introduces this genre to wider audience. An undeniably positive impact has been generated through such promotions and the return of the nights is expected to bring in audience seeking music genre alternative.
“Afro Beats Dxb is the next step for 2LIV, the brand new venue has been opened for 6 months now and we are defining the music policy of the nightclub. Afro beats is the start of some of the venue’s diverse and specific genre nights. We are looking to bring something new to the Dubai music scene and bring a wider range of music lovers to The Palm. Our diverse club and fantastic sound system will provide a great experience for Afro Beats lovers“ said Jordan Jon
