Dubai-UAE: 13 March, 2014 – Dubai is set to treat audiences to a brilliant repertoire of ‘Khaleeji’ music this month, with Duvent, a subsidiary of Meraas Leisure and Entertainment, announcing its latest live concert ‘Jalsa Ala’Shatah’.
Premiering on 21 and 23 March at The Beach, Meraas’s latest development on the Marina shoreline, the concert will feature head line performances by Jaber Al Kaser and Balqees Ahmed Fathi on day one, followed by Fahad Al Kubaisi and Dounia Batma on the second day. Duvent has teamed up with Fayez Sound and Media, The Management Company of the artists to conceptualize and execute the event. Taking place on select dates, the concert will be a recurring show during the year.
Omar Saab, Commercial Director at Duvent, said: “The idea behind this event is to provide a diversity of entertainment in Dubai’s newest leisure, shopping, fine dining and entertainment destination. We have hand-picked best-known talents from the Arab music world to come together and celebrate the local flavour of song and rhythm through ‘Khaleeji’ tunes. The concert is a rare opportunity for patrons to enjoy this timeless legacy of music that is native to this region, especially in an open air destination and live music format at a venue that is fresh and buzzing with novelty.”
Jalsa Ala’Shatah’ is a non-ticketed event and open to the public. The concert will begin at 8.30pm on both days.
The Beach, poised to emerge as Dubai's must-visit destination, is located along the coastline of Dubai Marina spanning 300,000 square feet. Uniquely set against the backdrop of the sea with low-rise buildings inter-connected by a pedestrian esplanade, the destination hosts a variety of dining options offering a broad range of regional and international concepts, imaginative entertainment and components such as the region's largest open air beach cinema screen.
