Dubai, February 2014: Yoga Ashram, brainchild of friends Rashi Datt, Harsha Varyani and Jaya Harikumar, is the latest phenomenon to hit the healthy cult in Dubai and will open its doors on 8th February to its first studio in Jumeirah Lake Towers. Offering a fresh take on traditional and authentic Indian yoga, Yoga Ashram introduces Sri Sri Yoga for the first time ever in Dubai that was originated in India by humanitarian and spiritual leader and Founder of The Art of Living Foundation, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Whilst ‘Yoga’ harmonizes the body with mind and breath, ‘Ashram’ transports the being to a peaceful and tranquil destination to rejuvenate. Yoga Ashram is a unique studio that embodies the idea of mindfulness in motion, which encompasses the practice of yoga and other types of creative expressions including their signature Sri Sri, Hatha, Vinyasa, Power yoga, Prenatal, Pilates, Acroyoga, Belly dancing, and yoga for kids.
Of the opening, Rashi Datt, Co-Founder and Meditation Specialist comments, “Yoga Ashram celebrates the diversity that exists in Yoga in a simple and elated manner. We combine yoga essentials that include the breathing techniques, stretching and postures, meditation and relaxation, and yogic knowledge. By incorporating all these beautiful facets of yoga, we are able to look deep beyond just physical health and also focus on mental relaxation. Yoga's greatest benefits are felt in the mind and with Yoga Ashram, we are hoping to create that platform for everyone to re-discover their inner potential and help improve the quality of their lives.”
The studio includes a main hall that is spread over an area of 1,200 square feet and two separate rooms for small groups or private lessons. Each class at the studio will be taught by 12 professionally trained instructors for the different classes offered.
