Clikdrop - A Unique App that Prints and Posts Your Pictures for Free
Last Update: Saturday, March 1, 2014 : 00:32 (+4GMT)
For the first time in the Middle East, Clikdrop, a mobile app still in its idea stage, is a one of a kind project that will print are post your pictures to you for free.
Since its entrance into Samsung's Launching People UAE initiative for budding entrepreneurs, Clikdrop has been widely publicized and has received massive support from people across the region. The app lets users select their pictures directly from their phone, tablet, laptop or home computer and send them for printing with the touch of a single button.
The app is the brainchild of Ryan Almeida, an English Copywriter and budding entrepreneur in Dubai. When we asked him about Clikdrop, this is what he had to say "We take around 450 billion photos every day, most with a camera phone. I designed clikdrop because I believe that everyone deserves to have their specials moments printed out and preserved with them for the rest of their lives. Technology becomes obsolete but physical photos can be kept with us forever. I mean, how many of us still own a VCR? None right. But how many of us still have our childhood pictures printed and tucked away somewhere in our parent's closet? Almost everyone. I want every person to look back at their lives and be able to re-live their favorite moments in print. That's what I aim to do with Clikdrop"
But that's not all the app has to offer. What makes Clikdrop even more appealing is its advertising program. Users get to choose from a wide range of offers advertised by their favorite brands, restaurants, hotels and products and have them put on the back of their pictures. Once the pictures are delivered, these offers can stripped off the back and redeemed right away.
Another cool thing about Clikdrop is its design. Every feature of the app is designed to impress. A variety of customized printing options, post-card templates and even the option to write a heart-felt message on the pictures is what makes this app so unique.
