Total EP UAE received the Diversity and Inclusion Award for Youth Empowermen

Dubai 22 Feb. 2014 -Total EP UAE’s Vice President Sultan Al Hajji received the “Diversity and Inclusion Award for Youth Empowerment” at a ceremony attended by a large number of economy leaders, company managers and experts from the UAE and other Gulf countries. The Middle East Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Forum was held in Dubai on 17th - 18th February.
Al Hajji said he was pleased to obtain this prestigious award, which he described as a result of Total’s efforts in the field of empowering women and UAE citizens to work in the oil and gas industry. In his participation at the forum, he elaborated on the efforts exerted by Total EP UAE to provide jobs and training as well as scholarships abroad to UAE Nationals, both men and women
Total has operations in over 130 countries and it is natural for the Group to have a diverse human capital of nationalities and gender. This scenario is providing opportunities to Total’s UAE National employees to get international work placement and undergo on-the-job-training (OJT) in France and other countries. He covered Total’s role in Emiratization by giving opportunities to Emiratis to work in the hydrocarbon sector. All of these efforts by Total are also aligned with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 to build a knowledge base society.
He described the forum as an “ideal platform” for policy makers and company managers to work together to better understand the challenges and launch projects that will help develop a comprehensive set of opportunities for governments and multi-national organizations as well as local establishments to improve job opportunities for the youth.
