Dubai, February, 2014: Global Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural destination, will have plenty of unique foods and traditional dishes on offer as part of the Dubai Food Festival – under the slogan Flavours of the World - which will be starting on the 21st February and going on until the 1st March at Global Village.
This will mark the first time Global Village has taken part in the Dubai Food Festival, with the park wanting to show visitors the uniqueness of each country’s traditional cuisines. The Dubai Food Festival at Global Village will see select country’s pavilions prepare authentic dishes that will be put on offer for visitors to sample and buy, providing visitors with a culinary journey through the pavilions. A visit to Global Village allows visitors to experience a fantastic Dubai Food Festival with unique dishes being provided by restaurants that are regionally and internationally recognised. Each restaurant will develop their own snacks from their country of origin, which will be on offer exclusively at Global Village during the Dubai’s premier Food Festival.
Ahmad Hussein, Director of Operations at Global Village, said “This is a great opportunity for the 25 restaurants and 170 kiosks to show the UAE some of the great food that is on offer at Global Village. It also gives some pavilions a chance to share some of the authentic and traditional foods that their countries are best known for. The Dubai Food Festival is also all about celebrating food and Global Village has a fantastic festive atmosphere that will allow all to have a great experience. We believe being part of the Dubai Food Festival will ensure the alignment of public and private sector goals for UAE and Dubai to continue to grow as a tourism hub.”
‘Flavours of the World’ at Global Village will begin on the 21st February until the 1st March and will see many people come together from all walks of life to experience the delicacies of lots of other cultures.
