Dubai, UAE, 15 January 2014 – The magic of Lewis Carroll's classic: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is delighting children and adults as the ‘Alice in Wonderland Tea Party' music and dance show are making their first-ever UAE appearance at Deira and Mirdif City Centre this DSF.
A special Tea Party Event was hosted for the community at Mirdif City Centre last night, with special guests from children from Senses Centre and the Dubai Women and Children's Foundation. Filled with fun surprises, including gifts from Hamley's toy store and Mirdif City Centre, kids and families were filled with laughter as they were whirled away into Alice's magical Wonderland.
Set against a beautiful fantasy wonderland filled with bright, colourful flowers and magical mushrooms, lovely little Alice begins with a melodic song, welcoming all to ‘her Wonderland'. Alice is soon joined by the permanent grins of the Chesire Cat, the nervous White Rabbit and The Hatter who spread the joys of laughter, happy days and smiling as they perform a fun song and dance in preparation for the Tea Party. The excitement is almost spoiled as the mean-hearted Queen of Hearts threatens to steal away the Teapot, but instead poisons Alice's cup of tea, putting a wicked spell on her voice! To break the spell, the Chesire Cat, White Rabbit and The Hatter invite kids from the audience on-stage to spell the magical word, helping Alice find her voice again and joining in with her musical friends to turn the Queen of Hearts' frown, upside down.
This exciting show continues at Mirdif City Centre until January 18th with three, 30 minute shows daily at 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 9:30pm.
Next week, ‘Alice in Wonderland Tea Party' brings its whimsical experience to Deira City Centre from January 21st – 30th with three daily shows at 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 9:30pm, plus other Wonderland activities including Meet & Greet sessions and themed arts & crafts. This all-new musical story will take the audience on a fantasy adventure in Wonderland.
During DSF, Deira & Mirdif City Centre are giving away a Grand Prize of a trip to anywhere in the world, with any AED 300 spend. Shoppers can also play the ‘Wonderland' interactive game, which allows users to step into City Centre's own ‘Wonderland' and collect objects using sensory image motion technology for the chance to win up to AED 1,000 daily from January 2nd-15th at Deira City Centre, Jewelry Court and from January 20th-Feb 2nd at Mirdif City Centre, Central Galleria.
