Dubai, UAE; November 29, 2013: Falconcity of Wonders (FCW), the multipurpose mega-project situated just off the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, celebrated the Expo2020 Win and UAE's 42nd National Day with a variety of exciting activities and live performances that promoted the culture and tradition of the country during a special event held yesterday at the FCW Community Centre Area.
Salem AlMoosa, Chairman and CEO of Falconcity of Wonders, said: “The UAE's 42nd National Day is a time to commemorate our country's rich cultural heritage and remarkable achievements in various sectors, thanks to the visionary leadership of our UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.”
“This year's National Day has given us another reason to celebrate as we rejoice in Dubai's recent win of hosting the World Expo2020. Our warmest congratulations to the people of Dubai and the UAE for this major historical event which is another important addition to our country's list of remarkable achievements,” added AlMoosa.
Falconcity of Wonders organized educational yet fun-filled activities for families and children living in the community to promote national identity during this important occasion. There was also a flag raising ceremony followed by a lively performance of the Yola and Ayala dancers who encouraged the crowd to participate in the merrymaking. Everyone enjoyed drinking gahwa, the Arabic coffee, and feasting on the local sweets, lugaimat and muhala, served alongside the buffet. Both adults and children were impressed with the magician, who effectively injected humour in his 30 minute show.
