Perrelet's Cutting-Edge Style Captivates At Jewellery Arabia 2013
Last Update: Saturday, November 23, 2013 : 14:29 (+4GMT)
Unveiling their new releases for 2013 to the region at the recently concluded Jewellery Arabia in Manama, Bahrain, leading Swiss luxury watch maker Perrelet, underlined the emphasis on cutting edge design and svelte styling.
Perrelet made its presence felt in no uncertain terms at the 22nd edition of the region's foremost watch and jewellery show, with their latest masterpieces catching the eye at local partner Asia Jewellers' booth. This is the second year for Perrelet to be present at the regional gathering of watch and jewellery aficionados.
Perrelet unveiled their latest models in the men's collections: Turbine Chrono, Turbine and Tourbillon Black & Gold – the latter being previewed exclusively for the Middle East.
Reflecting the creative flair of Perrelet's master watchmakers, the elegantly contrasted black and pink gold shades are the highlight of the Turbine and Tourbillon Black & Gold limited editions. On the 44 mm-diameter Turbine model, the distinctive black upper rotor moves across a golden background. Luminous rays light up the surface as soon as the turbine starts to move. The lugs and the center are crafted in solid pink gold. Meanwhile, the prestigious Tourbillon appears housed in a 50 mm-diameter case composed of a pink gold bezel and case-back surrounding a black DLC-treated steel case middle punctuated by a raised fluted motif.
With the Turbine Chrono, the Turbine collection is equipped for the very first time with a complication – in this case the chronograph. The technical characteristics of this mechanism naturally mingle with those of the turbine thanks to a set of unusual superimposed effects, without altering the initial visual impact and aesthetic appeal.
First held in 1992, the annual Jewellery Arabia exhibition has firmly established itself as the premier watch and jewelry event in the Middle East.
