Malabar Gold & Diamonds celebrates Children's Day with young talents

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the leading jewellery retailer celebrated Children's Day with the young talents in UAE. To mark this occasion the jewellery group has conducted a competition named “Design & Be a Starlet”. This gives the children a platform to showcase their talent by designing jewellery for the brand “Starlet” which showcases jewellery exclusively for Kids. ‘It is a matter of pride for Malabar Gold & Diamonds to have organized such a competition and encourage the talents of the young. The designs we received were overwhelming and we have decided to have the competition all year around' said Mr Shamlal Ahmed speaking at the event.

26 children participated in the competition; among them Miss Loria Yavnish Adlakha was selected as the winner by the panel of jury members. The winner gets an Apple iPad and a Certificate of Appreciation. Mr. Shamlal Ahamed MP – Managing Director, International Operations - Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Mr Abdul Salam –Group Executive Director, Malabar Group handed over the prize to the winner at the event held at their outlet in Bur Dubai.  All participants received a Certificate of Appreciation and starlet toys as gifts for participating in the competition. ‘We hope to get more participants in the next edition of “Design & Be a Starlet” competition and intend to turn their designs into actual jewellery in the foreseeable future' said Mr Abdul Salam while concluding the event.
