Dubai, United Arab Emirates – November 14th 2013: Barni, the latest and the fast growing addition to Mondelēz International, the global snacks powerhouse continues its association with Hala Barghout, a leading UAE nutritionist and KidZania®, the award winning children's edutainment center to organize a series of educative sessions on child nutrition for moms in UAE. The scope of these sessions have also been extended to include the presence of ‘Super Granny' Andalene, who will be imparting parenting tips on children's growth and development, laying emphasis on sibling rivalry. These highly informative coffee mornings' sessions by Barni have been continued for the second year in a row an aim to share knowledge and information on healthy snacking habits and parenting guidelines among moms in UAE and KSA. The next session is scheduled on 23rd November at KidZania®, The Dubai Mall.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Hala is well-informed with educating mothers and children about health and nutrition at an early age. She focuses on healthy eating habits and propagates that a few well thought changes will pave the path for a healthier and well balanced future lifestyle Super Granny Andalene is a South African professional parenting coach, and is a multi-talented person – an author, a public speaker and the owner of Monsters to Munchkins. She has conducted several workshops on parenting and parenthood across different cities globally.
Barni's main goal is to facilitate mothers with child development, expertise and knowledge which will prove beneficial to mothers for their growing children.
Barni Coffee Morning sessions aims to educate mothers on topics such as the importance of coaching young children on good eating habits, energy needs for kids and balanced diet, typical meal patterns for children and adolescents in Gulf countries, the role of food breaks in a child's diet and recommendation for a balanced snacking for children.
With no artificial colorants and preservatives, Barni is suitably adapted to kids' energy intake. Experts advise mothers that snacks are very important, but make them count and be nutrient dense rather than energy dense.
