Red Bull Winning 5 Final Kicks off Football Action at the Burj Plaza

Popular inter-collegiate football tournament to be held for the first time in the UAE
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 12 - The Red Bull Winning 5 football tournament finals are set to take place for the first time ever in the UAE at the Burj Plaza on November 15th at 2pm taking the Arab world's most popular sport and transforming it in to an adrenaline fuelled battle where only the quickest team on their feet is left standing.
In a true test of skills and stamina, this inter-collegiate tournament pits 16 young college footballers, five against five on a team in a fast-paced game. Eight minutes is all the teams have to score a goal during the game played with no goal keepers, to claim the sought-after title ‘Winning 5' during the Final on Friday.
When a player scores a goal for his team, a player on the opponent's side is sent off, reducing the opposing team's numbers with each goal, until the whole team is eliminated. This action-packed way of playing one of the world's most popular sports has spread around the globe like wildfire, and is consistently gaining popularity amongst soccer fans.
UAE-wide Red Bull Winning 5 qualifiers are drawing to a close, and will see through to the finals, 16 teams from the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, Bolton University, Higher College of Technology, Heriot Watt University, Bits Pilani University – Dubai, Canadian University of Dubai, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah and Sorbonne University.
The event is open to public including all football fans and entry is free of charge.
