Dubai-UAE: 06 November, 2013 – The Dubai World Hospitality Championship (DWHC) has announced AED6 million as prize money for the Championship, the mega culinary event that will also feature a Heritage Village and Hospitality Exhibition to offer visitors a first-hand experience of Emirati culture
The prize money will be distributed among the winners and participants of the three main competitions. The Emirati competition will hold the biggest value of prize money within its four categories.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Hareb Al Falahi, President of DWHC, said: "The sole aim of the Emirati Competition is to encourage and maximise Emirati participation in the hospitality sector of the UAE. The response we have received so far has been overwhelming, and we are proud to ensure that no participant goes away disappointed.
“Although the prize money for the top 10 winners of each category will obviously carry a significantly higher value, every participant at DWHC will receive a token monetary award for their efforts and contributions in being a part of this historic event."
Over 700 professional and amateur chefs will gather at Dubai World Trade Centre from November 16-18 to display their culinary and aesthetic skills as they vie for top honours at DWHC.
Organised by Za'abeel Palace Hospitality under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, DWHC comprises three core competition categories: the Emirati Competition, the International Competition and the Hospitality Sector Competition.
The championship committee invites everyone to visit www.dwhc.ae/visit to register for a complimentary badge and entering a raffle draw for a chance to win the Lexus LX 570 SUV luxury car.
