Commemorative Stamps Mark the 10th Year of the Dubai International Film Festival

Dubai, October 6, 2013 – A special set of four stamps is being issued by Emirates Post to mark the landmark 10th edition of The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) which runs from the 6th -14th December, 2013. The stamps have been designed to symbolize cinema from around the world and will be on sale in the UAE later this year.
The stamps have been created to commemorate the milestone event in the history of the Festival and celebrate this prestigious event which over the years has become a great platform for established as well as aspiring filmmakers to showcase their films to an enthusiastic and varied audiences made up of UAE and international film fans, industry professionals, talent and media.
“The Dubai International Film Festival has played a key role in promoting Dubai as a modern cosmopolitan city with strong attachment to culture and heritage. In ten years, it has grown into a major international event, comparable to some of the biggest such events worldwide,” said Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Post Group. “We are pleased to salute this great event with the release of these special stamps that will help strengthen further Dubai's image as a great city.”
