Light Middle East 2013 To Open Tomorrow (Monday October 7th) In Dubai

With 250 exhibitors from 23 countries set to showcase the latest range of lighting fixtures, designs and solutions, Light Middle East 2013 will open for business tomorrow, (Monday, October 7th), larger than ever before, in terms of both participation and area.

The 15% increase in the number of exhibitors over the previous edition underlines the growing attention being paid to the Middle Eastern markets by international lighting manufacturers and suppliers. This year exhibitors will occupy 25% more space than the previous edition showcasing a wide range of products and services at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre until Wednesday October 9th.

Light Middle East, as the leading trade and networking platform serving the lighting industry in the region, has gained wide support from international industry associations and regional authorities. The trade fair is being supported by the Emirates Green Building Council, KNX (the European association for home and building controls standards), Promus from Italy and ELCOMA (the Electrical Components Manufacturers Association of India).

As always, Light Middle East 2013 is set to serve as a business generator and market facilitator for international lighting majors seeking to establish contact with and develop business in the region. The exhibition is also renowned as a launch pad and technology demonstrator for some of the industry's latest innovative developments and products. This year's exhibition will pay increased attention to green technologies, sustainable lighting systems and alternative lighting technologies and solutions,

The Future Zone is expected to be one of the chief attractions at Light Middle East 2013. A first-of-its-kind showcase of futuristic products and technology, cutting-edge design and trends from some of the leading international manufacturers and designers. Featured in the Future Zone will be some of the latest offerings from the design geniuses amongst  GE Lighting, LEME Lighting, Osram, acdc, ERCO, iGuzzini, Trilux, linealight and LG.

Lighting industry professionals and regional trade buyers are expected to attend the Light Insight Arabia conference, with its focus on the key issue of LED lighting technology. The problems and benefits associated with the migration to LED lighting solutions from conventional lighting sources will be highlighted at the conference by a series of leading speakers. This is a topic which is of high interest to buyers and developers in the region. The conference is being organised by Epoc Messe Frankfurt in association with Lux Review magazine and will take place over two days alongside Light Middle East 2013.

Light Middle East 2013 will also feature the inaugural Light Middle East Awards, designed to celebrate excellence in lighting design. The Awards will recognise some of the region's leading lighting projects and will cover a range of different categories. Nominated entries will be judged by a panel of renowned lighting design experts and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held on Tuesday 8th October.
