Dubai World Central highlights unparalleled features and superior infrastructure during the CEO Clubs Network meeting

UAE, September 19, 2013[ The monthly Business Luncheon organised by CEO Clubs Network Worldwide was held recently at the Dubai World Trade Centre with Chris Scott, Director Development & Investment Management and Key Master Planner for the UAE's bid to host the Expo 2020, serving as the main speaker. Dubai World Central (DWC), which is an official member of the worldwide network, attended the luncheon and discussed its physical location plan in line with Dubai's bid to host the Expo.

During the meeting, DWC Business Park Director Paolo Serra presented the plan and explained how the strategic location, infrastructure and logistics of DWC, the world's first purpose-built ‘aerotropolis,' can significantly contribute to the success of Expo 2020. The presentation drew very positive response from the audience, particularly with regards to DWC's Free Zone and Business Park components.

“Expo 2020 is expected to bring in the best products, technologies and materials from around the world to Dubai in a few years' time. This massive undertaking requires an equally extensive logistical and infrastructural framework which DWC is more than capable of delivering. DWC will continue to be actively involved in setting up the best possible environment and support to ensure the success of Dubai's Expo 2020 bid,” said Serra.

Dubai World Central is a strategic initiative of the government of Dubai that strongly positions the emirate as a leading international trade centre. The various districts that are part of DWC cover the logistics, aviation, commercial, exhibition, humanitarian, residential, and leisure sectors and are being built around the Al Maktoum International Airport, the centerpiece of the development. The Business Park, located at the entrance of Dubai World Central, is a free zone that has been conceptualised to offer companies the space and the flexibility they need to grow and expand with the aerotropolis and city around them. Offering a total office space of 210,000 square meters, the Business Park is complete and ready for immediate handover.
