Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire is now complete thanks to the blossoming of a rose. On the refined and emblematic vial, adorned with a monogram of the House initials, drapes the signature of a new scent: Rose Velours.

Collection Extraordinaire showcases the finest of materials. For this magnificent rose, Antoine Maisondieu composed an exquisite box and selected an absolute, the quintessence of luxury and an exceptional substance.

The top notes sparkle with the citrus freshness of Italian bergamot interspersed with the delicacy of the discrete violet leaf.

The middle notes are signed off by a rose absolute and its voluptuous scent, ornamented with accents of honey and sweet, powdery absolute of iris.

A few drops of benzoin, the woody accord of cedar and warmth of ambroxan are added to create a long and gentle sillage.

Rose Velours, delicate but proves also opulent, warm and exhilarating.

“For me, the rose embodies absolute femininity, the ultimate luxury. I composed this perfume like an imaginary voyage with several stages that reveal an increasingly complex scent, from dawn to dusk,” explains the perfumer. “I wanted to create an initiatory perfume that reveals itself gradually on the skin and enhances as the hours go by”.

From morning to evening play out twelve hours in the life of a rose.
