Ahmedia Art Gallery to hold Islamic Art Splendour

Special art exhibition on Quranic art, Calligraphy and Arabesque themes

Dubai, UAE (August 11, 2013): Ahmedia Heritage Guest House, located in the heart of Al Ras, Deira and managed by Planet Hospitality, will hold a special art exhibition at Ahmedia Art Gallery titled Islamic Art Splendour to promote Islamic art from the UAE from 18th to 30th August 2013.

Local and international artists who specialize in Quranic art, Calligraphy and Arabesque themes were invited to display their work at the exhibition. The art exhibit will show more than 30 original works on display, made by locals, expats and emerging artists from across the Emirates such as Anna Maharani (Ukraine), Ashvin (India), B'lu (India), Salman Ghaith (Iraq), Sanaa Merchant (Pakistan) and Zaahirah Zabeen Muthy (Mauritius).

Selected works of these artists will be displayed for sale during the 'Islamic Art Splendour' exhibition which also includes a unique collection of museum art from across the GCC region.
