Dubai, UAE, 2 June 2026: As part of its support for the objectives of the Year of the Family, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library has announced a series of cultural, educational, artistic and community events throughout June, as part of a diverse program that reflects its vision of promoting culture, knowledge and creativity. The program reinforces the Library’s role as a vibrant hub that brings together different segments of society through unique experiences that enrich the UAE’s cultural landscape.
The program includes panel discussions and workshops covering artificial intelligence, personal development, and family education. It also features literary and artistic activities, as well as community initiatives that highlight the importance of knowledge and arts in building an intellectual society.
As part of its commitment to keeping pace with technological developments, the Library will host a session titled AI, Explained Simply. The session will offer an introduction to AI technologies and their applications as part of the Business Library series which aims to nurture digital literacy.
The program will also feature the session Rebuilding Confidence and Resilience as part of the Year of the Family activities. The session will focus on supporting children, strengthening their self-confidence, and developing their mental and social skills through discussions on identity, inner balance, and emotional resilience.
Furthermore, the Library will host a beginner’s theatre acting workshop in collaboration with Dubai National Theatre and a group of prominent Emirati artists. The workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of stage performance, vocal and physical expression techniques, and character development, helping stimulate artistic talent and refine creative skills.
In celebration of World Music Day, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will organise a special event celebrating the universal language of art through a diverse program that combines creativity with community engagement. People of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in an open interactive experience by bringing their musical instruments and performing live before an audience.
The event will also feature performances on the violin, guitar, and piano by talented musicians, reflecting the beauty of music and its ability to unite talent and express creativity.
The Library’s June agenda also includes a reading evening and literary discussion titled Emiratis in the International Prize for Arabic Fiction, in cooperation with Al Muntada Salon. The event supports the Library’s efforts to promote the Emirati literary movement and encourage cultural dialogue around modern Arabic fiction.
Additionally, the Library will host A Prepared Society, an event aimed at promoting a culture of preparedness and crisis and risk management through stations and interactive sessions covering home safety, first aid, family protection, and mental health. This initiative seeks to strengthen public awareness of the importance of readiness and effective emergency response.
As part of Mohammed Bin Rashid Library’s commitment to supporting community initiatives and fostering environmental awareness, and in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, regarding Flame Tree Season, the Library will launch an interactive campaign entitled “Your Words Make the Flame Tree Bloom”.
