Dubai, UAE, 20 January 2026: For the first time, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will participate in the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, under the slogan "Whoever stops reading for an hour... falls centuries behind". The participation reinforces the Library's strategy to promote cultural and knowledge empowerment both regionally and internationally.
Through its pavilion, the Library will showcase its services, latest publications, and knowledge initiatives, reflecting its vision to empower knowledge, foster cultural exchange, and enhance partnerships with publishers and knowledge institutions.
Dr. Mohammed Salem AlMazrooei, Board Member at the Library Foundation, said: "Our participation strengthens the UAE's cultural presence in Arab and international forums, extending our strategy to build sustainable cultural partnerships and expand access to premium knowledge content."
The Library will present publications covering topics from environmental awareness and community culture to space sciences, illustrating the UAE's integration of knowledge, scientific advancement, and social responsibility. It will also highlight initiatives like A World in Your Language, which uses AI to make books accessible in multiple languages. To date, the initiative has offered 35 titles in 10 languages, serving over 1,100 registered users and attracting more than 5,000 international website visits.
The Library's program at the fair includes a session on the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Arabic Language, a panel on the Encyclopedia of Ruling Families in Islamic History, intellectual dialogue sessions, and field visits to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and other cultural institutions to strengthen knowledge partnerships.
Additionally, a media gathering organised with the UAE Embassy in Cairo at the Golden Palace of Prince Mohamed Ali will support cultural and media cooperation between the UAE and Egypt.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library houses over 2,400 works on Egyptian culture, history, literature, and politics, and collaborates with over 60 leading Egyptian publishers to provide diverse and reliable knowledge resources for readers and researchers.
