Dubai Sports Council organizes 173 Running Races at Dubai Shopping Malls within 15 Years

Dubai Sports Council (DSC) organized 173 running & walking races at the main shopping malls in various locations of Dubai throughout 15 years, since the launch of this leading initiative, aiming to popularize the culture of the exercise of running sport and to encourage individuals in society to take advantage of the available areas & the wonderful atmospheres at famous shopping malls in Dubai.

The initiative has attained widespread, as it enables individuals of various ages & multi-nationalities in society to enjoy healthy & happy life and cement relations with shopping malls.

The Fitzy’s Run will be organized by Fit On Click Events Co. on Sunday 14th July at the Oasis Center in Al-Quoz, while Dragon Mart 2 will host the two Dragon Mart Running Races, which will be arranged by Tree Race Events Co. The Super Sport Academy will organize running race at Dubai Hills Shopping Center, and the Race of Will is organized by the Indoor and Sports Co. at Mirdif City Center. The Wafi City Summer Running will take place at Wafi Shopping Center.   

Mirdif City Center hosted the Family Run for the third successive year with distinctive participation of huge numbers of racers of various ages & multi-nationalities and under supervision of R. X. Café. Ms. Fawziya Fraidoon, Head of Community Sports Section in DSC, and Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al-Faz, the Founder of R. X. Café, honored winners with valuable prizes, provided by top sports trademarks in Mirdif City Center. Ibn Battuta Center, the Mall of the Emirates, Mercato and Bur Juman have all hosted several running races with participation of hundreds of racers.   

These events have become as a forum for friends of various ages & multi-nationalities to meet and spend nice times in useful activities & enjoy all services provided by the various top shopping centers. The events have attracted thousands of participants who are keen to enhance relations at shopping malls, as their relationship with malls is not limited to consumption only but it also includes exercising of walking & running activities in a distinctive atmosphere which is full of health, activity & happiness.
