Last Update: Monday, June 24, 2024 : 10:47 (+4GMT)
Phase II Crowned with Success and Remarkable Progress
Continuing its societal, educational, and healthcare journey, today, the City of Information, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, sheds light on the role of the real estate development sector in the developmental strides Dubai has made in a changing and vibrant world.
However, the societal responsibility of companies in the real estate development sector extends beyond the boundaries of individual projects to encompass broader societal development initiatives and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth and prosperity. Integrating the principles of social work into real estate practices and recognizing its importance in strengthening community ties enhances a sense of belonging and empowerment, as these initiatives work to enable individuals to lead fulfilling and prosperous lives.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the City of Information, says: "In an era where corporate social responsibility is no longer merely an option but a compelling necessity, the role of real estate development in driving positive social change has become clearer than ever before. Today, we celebrate the transformative power of development, where business objectives intersect with societal needs to create lasting impact."
“Corporate social responsibility is just beyond business; it involves integrating ethical, social, and environmental considerations and fostering community grounds. The City of Information has been and continues to be a pioneer in community, educational, and healthcare initiatives, as well as various awareness campaigns, achieving numerous outstanding accomplishments and initiatives. There is no doubt that our history over the past fifteen years witnesses our dedication to community development," adds the Chairman of the City of Information.
In this concern, Mr. Zoraiz Malik, CEO of Citi Developer in Dubai, says: "At the heart of this synergy, we must recognize that real estate development extends beyond physical structures to encompass broader societal development initiatives. For us, it underscores the importance of nurturing thriving communities where individuals flourish and evolve. In the UAE, we witness real estate developers' expertise in creating spaces that not only provide shelter but also serve as encouragement for positive social change."
The deeper impact of corporate social responsibility in the real estate development sector lies in its ability to enhance social cohesion and empowerment. By dealing with the complexities of a rapidly changing world, let us not underestimate the pivotal role of real estate development in driving positive social change. By embracing the principles of corporate social responsibility, developers are allowed not only to construct better buildings but also to build a better future for the coming generations.
“Assessing the importance of social work in the realm of real estate development, Mr. Satish Sanpal, Chairman of ANAX Holding, states, "We are delighted to engage in community-led social initiatives and increasingly encourage the affiliation between social work across all our endeavors, as we truly believe that philanthropy is a foundation of a healthy society. This synergy serves as a beacon of hope and prosperity for many and elevates Dubai's global status, providing developers with unique opportunities in the real estate sector with a vision to give back.”
The Information City and its strategic partners, are committed to continuing their community activities along with their other ongoing partnerships over the course of 15 years. During this time, thousands of laptops and school bags have been provided to students free of charge. Additionally, the initiatives collaborate with the Dubai Police to organize school visits to educate students about traffic laws and increase security awareness. Necessary awareness is provided aiming to protect our children from accidents and to teach them the best practices to avoid road accidents. The Dubai Civil Defense General Directorate provides necessary guidance for fire protection, and the Dubai Ambulance Service clarifies protection procedures in case of accidents. Each department, from its position, is dedicated to educating students about the most important practices to protect their lives.
Undoubtedly, the "Saada" 2024 programs implemented by the Information City have achieved tremendous success. Several schools will be converted to green energy, while school administrations reducing annual fees incurred by some students in exchange for the green energy fees they receive from the initiative. Thanks to its dedicated team, Information City has gained praise and support from senior government officials, as well as recognition and interest from numerous charitable organizations and local and international sponsoring companies, including: MTN, CITI DEVEPOERS, ANAX HOLDING, MEINHARDT, SOBHA REALTY, DUBAI DUTY FREE, OLA ENERGY, MEZZAN HOLDING, DNV, COLAGATE PALMOLIVE
Information City, alongside representatives from government departments and a select group of partners and developers, will celebrate the achievements and the vital role played by the real estate development sector on November 20th 2024, at the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm in Dubai.
