Dubai, March 24, 2023:  Dubai Municipality organised an environmental event under the title ‘Be the change you want to see in the world', to commemorate World Water Day at Al Mamzar Corniche beach. The event was in line with the framework of the Municipality's efforts to foster the attractiveness of the Emirate of Dubai and boost its efforts in accelerating environmental sustainability by conserving natural resources, assets and property for the present and future generations, further delivering best services and ensuring high quality of life for residents and visitors.

The event witnessed the participation of a group of school students from Dubai, who exhibited a giant whale with a dimension of 17.8 meters length, 6.5 meters width, and 8 meters height, which was built using recycled plastic bags and bottles.

The key focus of the event was to raise public awareness on regional and global environmental issues. Additionally, it aimed at offering insightful information on the environment and sustainability of its resources, particularly water resources, like the ground or surface water and sea water.
