To create a better future nurture the young they say. Sharjah, the cultural capital of UAE is doing just that in its 13th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) 2022 at The Expo Centre Sharjah.
The festival returns each year under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the patronage of his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Expo Centre is transformed into a huge and vibrant eye-catching carnival for kids and adults alike with 3D cutouts, performances, workshops interactive competitions, shows, plays and giveaways.
All kinds of children's book authors, illustrators and storytellers, from all over the world under one roof.
This year the visitors were memorized by the very first ice-skating show at SCRF ‘The Mystical Garden’. This show had a message for today's gadget addicted generation through a beautiful musical show about a young girl named 'Luna' who visits her grandparents and has to live with no internet thus making her discover the love for reading. The show also displayed the power of imagination in children.
Buy books or participate in the workshops or cookery classes or simple storytelling...the fun never ends for the whole family.
