UAE TEAM EMIRATES INVITES LOCAL COMMUNITY TO JOIN ONE-DAY FESTIVAL OF CYCLING IN ABU DHABI

11, October 2021: This month UAE Team Emirates are returning to the UAE and will be hosting Pedal with Pogacar, a unique community cycling event in partnership with ADNOC and TrainYas.

Open to everyone, from the experienced rider to budding young cyclists on training wheels, UAE Team Emirates and ADNOC are offering the community a chance to ride alongside the reigning Tour de France Champion, Tadej Pogacar, and his teammates in a one-off exclusive event in Abu Dhabi.

The cycling festival will be held at Yas Marina Circuit, featuring a competitive Crit Race*, followed by an open-to-all community ride-along around the track, plus other activities including kids’ coaching clinics.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and ride alongside some of the best riders in the world and there will be opportunities for photos and autographs. All participants will receive a medal and have the opportunity to win cycling prizes, merchandise, signed jerseys and UAE Team Emirates team kits.

The Pedal with Pogacar event will run from 8am-12pm, Saturday 23 October at Yas Marina Circuit. Competitive races will start from 8.30am and from 10am, the track will open up for a FREE community family ride along with the team. Coaching clinics will also be held by the Emirati squad for non-cyclists and young beginners.

This community event is free and open to everyone over the age of six with no pre-registration required. For the race element, there is a nominal AED 55 entry fee and pre-registration is required*. All participants will need to show a green Al Hosn pass to enter the venue.
