Colorful characters entertain visitors with their powerful silent act at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival
Sharjah, May 28, 2021: Visually vibrant and highly entertaining, colorful characters in stunning costumes are livening up the 12th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) with their graceful appearances. With personalities as distinct as the solid colors they are dressed in from top to toe, each has one thing in common – they love to read and are seen holding a book of their own as they walk past curious bystanders with a confident stride through the halls and lobbies of Expo Centre Sharjah.
Pointing to each other’s books with creatively choreographed expressions, these characters are dressed in three primary colors of Red, Blue, Yellow, as well as the young generation’s favorutie, Pink!
Mr Red, sports an Elvis-cut hair, frilly shirt sleeves and pump heels, while Ms Blue shows off an elegant short crop, and has tastefully accessorised her outfit with blue beads.
Wearing a tailcoat suit, Mr Yellow gives away his age by using a walking stick to move around. In her high-heeled platform shoes and stylishly funky hair-do Ms Pink seems to be the youngest of the group.
The message being conveyed through this most unusually conceived act is clear: books are still very much in fashion and reading is for people of all age groups, from the youngest to the elderly.
Moving around the venue to the peppy beats of a musical medley of jazz and pop, the show is an instant hit with children who run up to the characters for a photo opportunity, eager to create lasting memories of their incredible experience at SCRF 2021.
