During the ceremony, His Excellency Dr. Salah Taher Al Haj welcomed the EVOTEQ team, expressing his happiness at the signing of the MoU and the cooperation with one of the leading digital transformation solution providers in the country. Al Haj noted that the University is one of the biggest universities in the country in terms of the number of students and graduates; the quality of educational content; and the range of comprehensive and unique programs it offers. In addition, the University has established cooperation with leading global educational institutions and contributes actively to the service and development of the local community through cooperation with both public and private sector institutions, he concluded.
Commenting on the agreement with the University, Jihad Tayara, CEO of EVOTEQ, said: “In alignment with EVOTEQ’s aim to digitally empower smarter societies, we are partnering with University of Sharjah to support the youth and help equip them for future successes and growth in the smart economy. Digital transformation has immense opportunities for students to learn and succeed as it is the present and the future.”
“We are committed to transferring knowledge and fostering innovation in the young minds. Our goal is to prepare the next generation by providing them access to industry, and work-relevant expertise, which will also help develop their entrepreneurial skills,” Tayara added.
Under the terms of the MoU, EVOTEQ will provide training opportunities for students as a prerequisite for their graduation. It will also support undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the College of Business Administration by providing experts as speakers in activities and events related to digital transformation.
Furthermore, the company will cooperate with the colleges of business administration, engineering, computing, and informatics at the University in organizing digital workshops, hackathons and competitions. These initiatives will be designed to enrich students' learning experiences and equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in future workplaces.

Subsequently, these students will join EVOTEQ for a period of 2-3 weeks to get hands-on experience in a real-world work environment. Later, the College of Business Administration will also nominate its students for future employment in the company depending on available vacancies, under the terms of the agreement.
