UFC Ortega gets a taste of UAE heritage

United Arab Emirates,  October 15, 2020:  Brian Ortega took time out from preparing for his Octagon return at UFC FIGHT NIGHT: ORTEGA VS THE KOREAN ZOMBIE in Abu Dhabi this weekend to get a taste of UAE culture and heritage inside the UFC Fight Island™ safe zone.

The American fighter faces Korean Chan Sung Jung in the main event of the latest Return to Fight Island showpiece on Sunday morning, the mega five-event series currently taking place at Flash Forum.

Ahead of the fight, Ortega was greeted in the traditional Majlis by Saeed Al Saeed, Destination Marketing Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and was given insight into UAE heritage and traditions.

The featherweight fighter was then taught how to wear the traditional UAE kandoura and gutra before sitting down to enjoy the ultimate UAE treat - Arabic coffee and dates.

Ortega vs The Korean Zombie is the main event of a packed 11-fight card at Flash Forum in the early hours of Sunday morning (UAE time).
