United Arab Emirates, September 07, 2020: evian is showing its continued support to the response to Covid-19 with a donation to the Emirates Red Crescent Organisation and it’s ‘Fund of UAE’. The donation will provide over 56,000 bottles of mineral water to those severely impacted by the pandemic alongside volunteers and frontlines across the UAE.
The ‘Fund for UAE’ was launched under the guidance and directions of the UAE’s leadership, in corporation with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NECDMA) and Emirates Red Crescent Organisation, to facilitate community contributions towards combating the Covid-19 outbreak.
Overseen by the Emirates Red Crescent Organisation, the water donation from evian will be distributed alongside meals to families that have been affected by the pandemic across the month.
Speaking about the donation Goktay Askit, Zone Director for evian International in the Middle East, said: “As the pandemic continues to put front line volunteers under huge pressure, it is important that we remain united and play our part in supporting the relief efforts. That’s why we are working with the Emirates Red Crescent Organisation in supporting their humanitarian work in the United Arab Emirates and supporting those severely impacted by the pandemic through this donation.”
evian’s donation in the UAE follows the brand’s ongoing efforts in response to the Covid-19 pandemic globally.
