Rabdan Academy Showcases its State-of-the-Art Academic and Training Programs During UMEX 2020

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23 February 2020: Rabdan Academy, which is a university based in Abu Dhabi that specializes in safety, security, defense, emergency readiness and crisis management sectors, participated in the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX), the world's largest and the only regional standalone events focusing on advanced training model technologies. The exhibitions were held in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from 23 – 25 February, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
During its participation and in the presence of leading speakers, decision makers and professionals in security and defense communities, the academy highlighted its latest academic programs and professional courses, as well as its innovative simulation solutions in the fields of security, defense and safety.
The academy's participation comes in line with its role as a leading public professional institution in the Middle East, attracting diverse nationalities of faculty members with extensive local and international experience, and offering a unique collection of degrees, programs and short-term professional courses.
During a key panel discussion under the theme “New Narratives for border Security in the light of 4iR ,” James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy joined leading experts and decision makers in the local and international port and border security sector. The session was moderated by Dr. Mohammad Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Executive Advisor for the UAE's Supreme Council for National Security.
During the session, Mr. Morse touched upon the impact of the digital era on teamwork as well as the new approach in port and border security. He also discussed the importance of existing and emerging challenges in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the courses offered by the academy, and their vital role in future-proofing the skills of the Academy’s students and graduates.
In addition, Mr. Morse said: “The exhibition and conference represent a leading international platform that contributes to building strategic relationships with specialized international institutions. At Rabdan Academy, we are constantly striving to develop our educational and training system in order to keep abreast of the latest tools and techniques, and to qualify institutions and individuals according to precise standards that are appropriate to future needs and ensure the creation of a coherent and multidisciplinary national force to protect society, its individuals and assets.”
