FTA signs strategic partnership agreement with SAAED for Traffic Systems to conduct road transport inspection services

Agreement aims to intensify cooperation in monitoring transportation institutions’ compliance with road transport laws
UAE, 4 December 2019 - The Federal Transport Authority- Land & Maritime (FTA) has announced the signing of a strategic new partnership agreement with SAAED Traffic Systems to help in conducting land transport inspection services. The agreement, which was signed by H.E Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Shareef Al Khoori General Director of FTA and Eng. Ibrahim Yousef Raml CEO of SAEED , is aimed at intensifying cooperation between both parties in the move to monitor the compliance of road transport companies and institutions with the provisions of Law No. 9 of 2011, which covers road transport and its executive regulations.
The agreement involves the integration of strategic work methods and solutions that have been designed and developed to ensure the optimal use of resources, improve the inspection process, develop relevant procedures and facilitate and measure the efficiency and accuracy of inspection and controls, which in turn, helps in minimizing negative effects of safety on road transport activities. The agreement is also expected to help play a key role in the move to achieve the vision and strategic goals of the UAE.
Al Khoori pointed out that the partnership signed with SAEED Traffic Systems, which is a known developer and implementer of comprehensive traffic inspection services, represents a model collaboration between the public and private sector. He affirmed that SAEED is recognized as a leading provider of world class government services--meeting the requirements and needs of all stakeholders from government agencies, semi-government companies, dealers and society.
Al Khoori said, “The FTA remains steadfast in its keenness with the local transport sector and its continuing efforts to achieve integration, sustainability and innovation in land and maritime transport systems, which ensures the safety of transport and integration of its sectors to ensure efficient state logistics performance. Our decision to partner with SAEED Traffic Systems is based on its reputation as a leading company that provides high quality services and conducts comprehensive road transport inspections. Under the terms of the agreement, SAEED Traffic Systems will play a key role in the move to achieve the strategic objectives of the partners in terms of services provided--contributing widely to the elevation of the country's road transport sector.”
Meanwhile, Eng. Ibrahim Yousef Raml, stressed that the company's partnership with the FTA demonstrates its commitment towards joint work and cooperation in providing high quality services to all land transport companies and institutions. He also noted that the agreement represents a step forward in the move to expand the company's business and further contribute to the sustainable future of the UAE, in line with the directives of the country's wise leadership.
