Adventurous Sailor François Gabart begins the 2019 Brest Atlantiques race

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - November 06, 2019:  French sailor and skipper François Gabart is about to embark on yet another extraordinary adventure: Brest Atlantiques. The professional offshore yacht racer is no stranger to setting the pace on the open sea. He is the current world record holder for solo around the world and was the winner of the 2012-13 Vendée Globe, in which he set a new race record.  

Deeply interested in developing hi-tech performance boats to break new records, François Gabart has chosen a timepiece with its own game-changing legacy: OMEGA’s Speedmaster "Dark Side of the Moon" Apollo 8.
