Community Development Authority to showcase its customer centric applications & technologies at GITEX 2019

CDA will launch ‘Masar’ smart application during its participation at the exhibition this year

6 October 2019: The Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA) announced its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2019, which will be held from October 6-10 at the Dubai Trade and Exhibition Center. During its participation in the exhibition, CDA will showcase the latest technologies it has adopted to follow up the development and quality of services provided to customers, in order to facilitate communication with them. CDA’s stand will be located within the Dubai Smart Government pavilion at GITEX this year.

Gitex visitors will be able to learn about ‘Masar,’ a smart application that enables communication with registrants of its empowerment program. The application allows CDA’s empowerment management team to interact with customers and update them on training schedules and send reminders to attend job interviews and employment events. Besides, the application enables users to give feedback and follow up the implementation of CDA’s empowerment plan.

Empowering people who are eligible for financial and social benefits is also one of CDA’s key missions. In line with this, CDA has identified financial empowerment as one of the best methodologies to enhance the financial security of low-income people. To achieve this, it has been conducting successful interventions, including training, developments; education and social support for underprivileged, thereby helping them acquire financial skills and aspects that significantly enhance their social and physical security.

Thani Bin Jarsh, CEO, Corporate Services Sector, at CDA said: “In view of rapid technological advancements and the emergence of innovative technological solutions in the field of communication, keeping pace with these transformations in the social sector is a necessity and a right to provide to our customers. Through our participation in GITEX Technology Week 2019, we seek to identify the latest solutions that could be utilized in the field of social services and services offered to most vulnerable groups of the society. This will help us integrate these solutions into the services we provide, significantly boosting their quality and efficiencies.”

“Masar application, which is being launched for the first time at GITEX, enables easy communication with the percipients of our empowerment programs and following up on their files and helps determine the extents to which the plans set for them have been completed. This will ensure that they stay informed and offers a greater commitment to the success of their plans”, he added.

Furthermore, CDA will display a smart dashboard that tracks service delivery, which provides daily reports on the status of services provided to all CDA customers. This service helps the CDA’s higher management to improve the quality of the services provided to the customers by taking necessary decisions on the development of social services; introducing new initiatives, and by addressing the evolving needs of the members of the community.
