Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 04, August 2019: The all-new Nautilus, Lincoln’s newest entry to the popular midsize luxury SUV market, made its regional debut earlier this year with a new turbocharged engine lineup and a standard suite of advanced technologies offering the driver assistance from the front, rear and sides.
“Built to the highest of standards, Lincoln Nautilus delivers so much more than style and sophistication,” said Sami Malkawi, regional manager, Lincoln Middle East. “Packed with intuitive technologies and an advanced drivetrain, Lincoln’s newest entry to the midsize luxury SUV market is luxury power and performance for both the driven, and the driver.”
Lincoln-Exclusive Engine Provides Effortless Performance
Lincoln Nautilus moves to an all-new turbocharged engine lineup for 2019, with smooth power delivered through three advanced technologies – turbocharging, direct injection, and twin independent variable camshaft timing. Brought to life through the available powerful 2.7-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine – boasting an AWD drivetrain with adaptive suspension and all-wheel drive disconnect – Nautilus delivers 335 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque, while the standard 250-horsepower 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo is efficient and smooth in operation. Both engines include standard Auto Start-Stop capability, plus a new eight-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift® capability.
Intuitive Technology
New Lincoln Co-Pilot360 bundles popular, advanced driver-assist features previously available only as separate options. It uses cameras and radar to enhance a driver’s capabilities – easing stress and making each journey virtually effortless. Technologies like BLIS, which uses radar to alert drivers of approaching vehicles entering their blind spot by flashing an indicator light, and cross-traffic alert, warning drivers of traffic behind when backing out of a parking spot or driveway, are included. Other technologies include pre collision assist with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, auto high beams, a lane-keeping system and a rearview camera.
Complementing the engine’s effortless performance is Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), with stop-and-go functionality. ACC can automatically slow the car, and resume higher speeds when traffic clears. The system activates the brakes automatically to bring the car to a complete stop if the driver fails to apply the brakes in time.
Lane centreing technology, which detects lane markings on the road to help keep the vehicle centred, is also available. Lane centreing helps keep drivers centred in their lane while adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability is enabled, which allows drivers to set a desired speed and distance between themselves and the vehicle ahead.
Nautilus not only brings with it a new turbocharged engine lineup and an array of sophisticated technologies, but it’s been designed to inspire driver confidence; ideal for the discerning Middle East luxury customer.
