Dubai, UAE, December 22, 2018: Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, recently launched “7-Star Centers” project which aims at raising the efficiency of client centers in line with the international 7-start rating. This follows the directives and recommendations of the higher management that each client feel the warm welcome and reception coupled with flexibility that allows them to get the service in one single visit.
Musabih instructed all relevant teams to carry out the new project in the best possible way. The project is based on 8 foundations under which there are 24 elements that work together towards better performance. He pointed out that Dubai Customs already has 8 centers with a 4-star rating, and now seeking the 5th star.
“Making clients happy is a customs culture and a value that we translate as a take it as a daily practice. We work in line with Dubai vision and its strategies towards a full smart transformation of the city. Dubai Customs provides 53 services through its smart channels, and this has minimized the physical visits to the centers, which prompts us to start downsizing these centers”. he explained
Around 90% of transactions and applications are now carried out through smart channels and this percentage is expected to reach 100% in 2020, following the vision and directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council towards a paperless work environment in 2021.
Abdullah Mohammed Al Khaja, Executive Director of Clients Management Division along with a number of directors and managers at Dubai Customs were present in the launch of the project.
