H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Inaugurates Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 Booth at Abu Dhabi Art

Abu Dhabi, 14 November 2018:   His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited Manarat Al Saadiyat to view the artistic creations of Abdullah Lutfi, the talented Emirati artist and Special Olympics UAE athlete. The showcase was held by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Art. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurated the World Games 2019 booth and was shown a canvas painting being created live at the booth by Abdullah, which explores the links between the Special Olympics movement and the UAE. Abu Dhabi Art, an annual art fair organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, partnered with the LOC to promote Special Olympics in the run up to the World Games. Emerging artist Abdullah, 21, is based in Dubai and has taken part in a number of high-profile art events that promote the Special Olympics and the UAE’s message of inclusivity.
