“The recent issuance of the Law No. (8) of 2018 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ahead of the World Tourism Day on September 27, further strengthens the Dubai Health Authority’s role in enabling healthcare to significantly contribute towards achieving Dubai’s tourism goals. Resonating with this year’s theme ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation,’ which seeks to establish a more responsible and inclusive tourism sector, the new law will enable us to accelerate the integration of latest innovations and technologies into Dubai’s healthcare sector to further enhance its competitiveness and transparency, on par with international standards. We continue to build on ways to bring Dubai’s specialties in health and wellness and advance its capability through Artificial Intelligence and various other digital platforms, thereby making Dubai’s healthcare easily accessible to the region and the world. With these endeavors, Dubai will continue to become a leading hub for healthcare and emerge as the ideal global medical tourism destination.”
