DCT Abu Dhabi Statements About Warner.Bros World Abu Dhabi Opening

Dubai, UAE, July 24, 2018:  HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary, Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi:

The choice of Yas Island as the home for the world's first indoor Warner Bros. theme park, celebrating such an iconic and beloved brand, reflects so positively on Abu Dhabi's global status and its ability to attract international tourism investments.

This step is further evidence of the plans we are enacting to attract more visitors to the emirate as it moves further towards a diversified economy; indoor theme parks are a proven summer attraction for families.

As tourist numbers continue to grow in light of the recent reduction in hotel and municipality fees for hotels, the launch of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is expected to increase family and leisure tourism numbers from both domestic and regional markets. The growing variety of leisure attractions in the emirate will further contribute to an increased length-of-stay and spending, ensuring greater growth in tourism revenues

HE Sultan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, Executive Director - Tourism Sector, Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi:

The launch of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will serve as a major boost for the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi.

Opening such a world-class tourist attraction will further elevate status as the Middle East's destination of distinction, featuring as it does other prestigious assets like Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld. The theme park will significantly complement Yas Island's recreational offer, as it features entertainment facilities for the whole family and is associated with superheroes and fantasy worlds created by Warner Bros. Studios based on fascinating popular characters.
